Senegalese striker will not be sold before the summer
Freiburg have warned any potential suitors of Papiss Cisse that the striker will not be sold in January.
The Bundesliga outfit are prepared to accept that a deal might be done at the end of the season, but insist he will be going nowhere until at least the summer.
Wolfsburg are among those reported to have expressed an interest in Cisse, keen to find a replacement for Edin Dzeko, but they must now turn their attention elsewhere.
Freiburg general manager Dirk Dufner said: "We will not be making any comment on which clubs are interested in our players. We are simply not interested in selling.
"Papiss Demba Cisse is definitely staying here, there is no doubt about that. That can be taken for granted."
Target
Freiburg manager Robin Dutt told Kicker-Sportmagazin: "I have no issue with a club like Wolfsburg wanting to get some negotiating practice in if they want to.
"But they will definitely not be getting their target, that is for sure."
Senegalese frontman Cisse has been with Freiburg for 12 months, having joined from Metz in January 2010.
He is contracted to the club until June 2014 and is currently the top scorer in the German top flight with 15 goals.
