Hamstring injury means Scarlets centre could miss trip to Rome
Jonathan Davies could miss Wales' RBS Six Nations clash against Italy in Rome on Saturday because of a hamstring injury.
The Scarlets centre picked up the injury when Wales beat Scotland 24-6 at Murrayfield nine days ago. Assuming he is ruled out, then coach Warren Gatland might have to consider switching the versatile James Hook from fly-half, although Stephen Jones and Rhys Priestland would also be midfield options.
Wales assistant coach Neil Jenkins said: "Jon is a doubt at the minute.
"He is doing rehab and stuff, and we will have another look at him tomorrow.
"Hopefully he can make it. He hasn't done a great deal with us since the Scotland game, other than rehab. We will wait and see what happens."
Gatland is due to name his squad on Tuesday, with Cardiff Blues wing Leigh Halfpenny close to making his comeback after missing the England and Scotland games earlier this month through injury.
Jenkins added: "Leigh trained with us today, which is great news. Everything seems great with him - he's on the way back."
