Newcastle winger Jonas Gutierrez insists he is concentrating on his job at St James' Park amid reports of an £8million summer bid from Lazio.
Premier League Newcastle are rumoured to be growing concerned about the fact that the 27-year-old is dragging his heels over signing a contract extension.
Gutierrez has two years remaining on his current deal, but manager Alan Pardew will not let the Argentine's terms and market value drift at the club's expense.
Lazio are reported to have held talks with Newcastle officials over a possible transfer at the end of the season, but the player is not listening to speculation.
"Rumours are rumours," Gutierrez is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror. "Now I'm just focused on my work in Newcastle."
