England boss feels United striker has got his head right
Fabio Capello is pleased to see Wayne Rooney back among the goals, putting the distractions of the recent past behind him.
The England coach was at Old Trafford on Tuesday to see the Manchester United striker score twice in a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa.
Those efforts were Rooney's first from open play since a fateful European night against Bayern Munich on 31st March.
It was in that game that the striker saw a prolific season disrupted by an ankle injury which would nag him throughout the summer and seriously impact on his performances at the 2010 World Cup.
Since then he has struggled with other niggling knocks and become embroiled in a transfer saga which at one stage threatened to see him leave United.

He is hoping to put those events behind him, though, and focus his full attention on helping United land multiple trophies this season and England book a safe passage to Euro 2012.
Capello is confident Rooney is back on the right track following his goals against Villa and feels it is only a matter of time before he is firing on all cylinders once more.
He said: "Rooney is a fantastic player. He's one of the best English players.
"He hadn't scored [from open play] in this period. I hope he will start [scoring] with us.
"I have to speak with him, but the movement and passing is now good. And his head is now okay. The movement with the ball, without the ball, is good."
