Wales star set to confirm two-year deal
Wales star James Hook is set to confirm that he has agreed a deal to move to Perpignan in the summer.
Hook has long been linked to a move across the Channel, with the 25-year-old revealing before Christmas that he would be leaving the Ospreys at the end of the current campaign.
A number of clubs across Europe - including Bath - were interested in signing the versatile back, who can play fly-half, centre and full-back.
However Perpignan look to have won the race, with Hook believed to have agreed a two-year deal worth nearly £350,000 per season.
Hook will confirm his destination at a press conference on Wednesday - with Wales backs coach Rob Howley hoping the announcement will allow the player to focus on the RBS Six Nations.
"James going to France is not a decision he has taken lightly," he said.
"But he's made his decision and we still expect him to be fully focused for the next six to eight weeks."
Hook is believed to have favoured a move to Perpignan as they want him to play in his favoured fly-half position.
Perpignan have struggled with the No.10 role this season, with veteran Manny Edmonds coming out of retirement to play after Nicolas Laharrague and David Mele both suffered injuries.
