Midfielder delighted at prospect of Sunderland switch
Stephane Sessegnon has told skysports that he is relishing his proposed move to Sunderland.
In one of the transfer sagas of the window so far, Paris Saint Germain have stood firm over the Benin international.
He fell out with coach Antoine Kombouare in December and has maintained his stance of never wanting to play for the club again.
Now Sunderland, after seeing a loan bid and initial offer of €5million rejected, are set to seal a deal for around €6million.
Sessegnon is due to arrive on Wearside on Friday to conclude talks.
Dream come true
And the playmaker is delighted as he finally looks to seal his move away from PSG.
"I am very happy and looking forward to my Premier League career," he told skysports.com.
"It is a dream come true and I want to show my value to Sunderland.
"There are good players there and we can finish strongly in the league."
PSG are now looking at potential replacements for Sessegnon, with Dimitri Payet, Jonathan Legear and Morgan Amalfitano all linked.
