Legendary batsman troubled by old knee injury
Sachin Tendulkar is likely to be given the all-clear to play against England on Sunday after undergoing an MRI on his left knee.
The Indian opener remained in Mumbai to have the scan following the team's victory over Bangladesh in the opening match of the World Cup.
"It's an old injury, it was just a niggle," team manager Ranjib Biswal said.
"It's nothing to worry about. The (MRI) report is all clear."
The 37-year-old became the most capped one-day player in Saturday's 87-run win, when he took the field for the 445th time.
