Barca keeper laid low and forced to surrender ever-present record
Victor Valdes has handed Barcelona an injury concern after picking up a knee injury.
The keeper was forced to miss Sunday's clash with Athletic Bilbao as a result of the knock.
The Spain international has been carrying the complaint since figuring in Barca's 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat to Arsenal.
It was hoped that he could play through the pain, but it is now uncertain how long he will be sidelined for.
Recovery
Barca have refused to put a timeframe on his recovery, claiming the problem will be examined on a game-by-game basis.
Valdes will undergo treatment in an effort to see him fit again in the near future, but he could be a doubt for a return date with Arsenal at Camp Nou on 8th March.
His absence from the side comes as a major blow to Pep Guardiola, who had seen his first-choice shot-stopper become an ever-present.
Jose Manuel Pinto will provide back-up for now, while youth team keeper Oier Olazabal has been drafted into the squad as further cover.
